RIN — YEAR SCHEDULE, DRAFT v0.1 (2026-11-01)
Commissioned by Chris, 2026-11-01: a structured schedule for the next year — day by day, hour by hour — learning apps, outdoor play, meals, bath, daily routines, with downtime and flexibility built in. Goal in his words: build everyday skills and prepare for kindergarten, adjusting together as the family learns what works.
Status: DRAFT — a starting shape, not a ruling. Every clock time below is a SAMPLE hung on anchors the family has not yet supplied (Tutor Desk founding discipline: unsupplied anchors print as placeholders, never invented). When Chris and Mircy give the real anchors — wake, meals, rest, bath, bed, speech-class days — the blocks slide to fit; the order and proportions are the design, not the sample times.
Fences carried on the face: Tap Board is Rin's voice — it is available all day, every day; it is never scheduled, withheld, or used as a reward. Scheduled app time below means the learning surfaces (Tap Grove, Phrase Board with family, Growth Map). No efficacy claims are made for any block; each block is a practice opportunity, and what the family observes is what adjusts the plan. Her diagnosis wording on record: speech delay (owner-stated 2026-11-01); "on the spectrum" is professionals' language as owner-reported, exact wording unconfirmed. This schedule is designed around her communication and routines, not around any label.
1. The weekday rhythm (Mon–Fri) — SAMPLE times
| Time (sample) | Block | What fills it |
|---|---|---|
| 7:00–7:30 | Wake + morning routine | Wake at her pace, toilet, get dressed (choice of two outfits laid out), brush teeth. Same order every day; a picture routine strip by the sink turns it into a follow-along. |
| 7:30–8:00 | Breakfast | Family breakfast; she helps with one small job (carry her cup, put spoon out). Tap Board at the table — breakfast words live there. |
| 8:00–9:00 | Outdoor 1 — morning movement | Yard, walk, or park. Running, climbing, bubbles, ball. Big movement early tends to be when she's freshest — the family confirms or moves it. |
| 9:00–9:30 | Snack + quiet reset | Snack, water, short calm-down: puzzle, books, drawing. A bridge between outside energy and table work. |
| 9:30–10:15 | Learning block 1 — apps + table | Tap Grove or Phrase Board together (15–20 min), then a hands-on activity matched to the day's focus (see §3): tracing, sorting, counting real objects, scissors practice, play-doh. Ends when attention ends — the block is a ceiling, not a quota. |
| 10:15–11:00 | Free play / downtime | Unstructured. Her choice, her pace, no teaching agenda. Adults nearby, not directing. |
| 11:00–11:45 | Life-skills practice | The kindergarten toolkit, one small thing per day (§3): practice lunchbox open/close + eating from it, backpack zip, putting on shoes, handwashing sequence, tidying one area, simple food help. Play-shaped, short, ends on success. |
| 11:45–12:30 | Lunch | She helps set her place. New foods appear beside accepted foods without pressure. |
| 12:30–1:30 | Rest / quiet time | Nap if she still takes one (PLACEHOLDER — family confirms), otherwise quiet time: books, soft music, cozy corner. Screens off. |
| 1:30–2:15 | Learning block 2 — story + making | Read-aloud together (dialogic style: she points, names, turns pages; Spanish woven in as her program is bilingual by design), then making: coloring, stickers, simple crafts, building. |
| 2:15–3:00 | Snack + free play | Snack, then open play — indoors or out by weather. |
| 3:00–4:00 | Outdoor 2 / community | Park, splash pad in season, library trip, or one Local Life outing from Rin Compass (sensory-friendly sessions, TOPSoccer when scheduled). On home days: water play, sidewalk chalk, car games — she likes cars and race sounds. |
| 4:00–5:00 | Downtime + family time | The softest hour of the day. Free play, a show together, helping a parent with a simple task. No scheduled learning. |
| 5:00–5:45 | Dinner | Family dinner; she carries one item, clears her cup. |
| 5:45–6:30 | Evening play | Calm play, family games, a short walk. Lights start lowering toward bedtime. |
| 6:30–7:00 | Bath / shower | Same sequence nightly: bath, pajamas, brush teeth, toilet. The picture strip runs it; she checks off steps. |
| 7:00–7:30 | Bedtime routine | Two books, a song, lights out (SAMPLE bedtime — family sets the real one). Same closing words every night. |
Speech class days (PLACEHOLDER — days/times owed by the family): the class replaces Learning block 1 or 2 that day, never Outdoor or downtime. Tap Board travels with her, as already planned.
2. The weekend rhythm (Sat–Sun)
Weekends keep the same anchors (wake, meals, bath, bed) and loosen everything between them — predictability lives in the anchors, freedom lives in the middle.
- Saturday: family morning (breakfast together, one outing — market, park, a card-show trip with Dad, or a Local Life event from Rin Compass), afternoon free play + family time, one short life-skills moment hidden in real life (helping carry, sorting laundry by color).
- Sunday: the slow day. Home base, outdoor play, a family activity, early prep for the week together (pick Monday's outfit, look at the week's picture calendar — any special days get previewed here, which is also where changes get introduced first).
3. Weekly focus rotation (practice opportunities, not lessons)
Each weekday carries one gentle emphasis inside the existing blocks — nothing extra is added to the day:
- Mon — Communication: Phrase Board phrases for the week's situations; family models them at meals.
- Tue — Hands (fine motor): scissors, beads, play-doh, drawing, puzzles.
- Wed — Independence: dressing, lunchbox, backpack, bathroom sequence — the life-skills block leads the day.
- Thu — Numbers & patterns in the wild: counting stairs, sorting cars by color, matching games in Tap Grove.
- Fri — Social & family: a playdate, a family game, a video call with family; turn-taking games.
4. The year in four phases (Nov 2026 → kindergarten)
Kindergarten entry year/target school: PLACEHOLDER — family to confirm (Florida entry turns on age on/before Sept 1; the "Protector" placement timeline may set its own date).
- Phase 1 — Settle the rhythm (Nov–Dec 2026): run the weekday shape as-is for two weeks before judging it. Only the anchors get tuned (wake/bed first). Success = the family can predict the day; Rin sees the same picture schedule daily.
- Phase 2 — Widen independence (Jan–Mar 2027): life-skills block grows teeth — she runs more of each sequence herself (dressing, handwashing, lunch routine); learning blocks try 2-part activities; one regular community activity (sport or sensory session) joins the week if the family likes it.
- Phase 3 — Kindergarten shapes (Apr–Jun 2027): practice the school-day pieces inside home days — a longer morning learning stretch, a packed lunch eaten at "school time," backpack packed the night before, drop-off-style goodbyes at activities. The FES-UA / placement paperwork calendar runs in parallel (adults only).
- Phase 4 — Dress rehearsal (Jul–Aug 2027): the day shifts to school hours (wake/leave times move to the real ones, PLACEHOLDER until known); visit the school/route if the placement allows; bedtime locks to the school-night time. Everything else about her day stays familiar — only the frame moves.
5. Flex rules (written so the schedule survives real life)
- Anchors are load-bearing; blocks are rubber. Meals, bath, bed hold their times; everything between can swap order on a hard day without the day "failing."
- The 2-of-3 rule: on a rough day, keep any two of {Learning 1, Life-skills, Learning 2} and drop the third without guilt or make-up work.
- One change at a time, two weeks to judge. Adjustments land one block at a time so the family can tell what actually helped.
- Downtime is scheduled, not leftover. Free play and the 4:00 soft hour are protected blocks, deleted last, never first.
- Preview changes on Sunday. Anything different next week (visitors, trips, appointments) goes on the picture calendar Sunday evening first.
- Her signals outrank the paper. If a block consistently melts down, the block moves or shrinks — the schedule serves her (her program's first principle), never the reverse.
6. Anchors owed by Chris + Mircy to lock v1.0
- Her real wake time and bedtime (and whether she still naps).
- Meal times as the family actually keeps them.
- Speech class days/times — and any other current services.
- Both parents' work shapes (who runs which blocks on weekdays).
- Kindergarten target: entry year, and whether the "Protector" placement sets the calendar.
- Anything she reliably loves or hates at set times of day (the morning-movement bet in §1 gets checked against this).
Supplies matched to this schedule are being hunted on Amazon in parallel (visual schedule, timer, fine-motor and lunch/backpack practice kit, routine supports) and will be appended here as a priced shortlist — nothing bought without the owner's word on the exact items.

Status of the list: SETTLED as the schedule's functional kit. The research Digest may append items later (any change prints as a dated revision here); the listening pass's first finding already reinforces #1 (families hunt per-child leveled visual schedules) rather than changing the list.
OWNER ACCEPTANCE (2026-11-01 ~19:58 EST): this draft schedule is APPROVED by Chris and Mircy as the shape of Rins day. Clock times remain SAMPLES until the family anchors land; on anchors, this becomes v1.0.
